Sammy Peter, Chair of Research & Instruction


Sammy is the Chair of Research & Instruction and Instructional Design Librarian. In this role she serves as the liaison for Disability Studies and Communication Disorders, the College of Education, History and Religious Studies, and the School of Politics, Public Affairs, and International Studies. She also supports our distance students including the University of Wyoming Casper campus and is the liaison for accessibility in the libraries.

Sammy’s research focus on disability within libraries including Universal Design for Learning in the classroom and workplace, experiences of librarians with invisible disabilities, and more. She is the co-chair of the campus wide accessibility committee and a representative on the inclusion council. Outside of work you can often find Sammy outside, she enjoys hiking, gardening, playing with her dogs, anything that allows her to enjoy our beautiful state.
