    Brucella Abortus Proteins and Methods of Use Thereof

    Description of Technology
     

              The method uses immunogenic gene products relevant to in vivo survival and pathogenesis of the Brucella infection and detects the presence of an antibody which is specific to the bacteria causing Brucellosis in elk and cattle.


    Applications

              Farming/Ranching, Fish and Game analysis, Conservation Science, and Veterinarian diagnosis.


    Features & Benefits

              Other methods use a “negative” selection approach which relies on identifying specific mutations. This method allows for better detection of the Brucella infection resulting in more accurate diagnosis.
