Matrix Pilot Program

The Ellbogen Center for Teaching & Learning (ECTL) Assessment Teach in collaboration with Dr. Francois Jacobs, in the College of Engineering & Physical Sciences, will continue to develop and pilot the UW Programmable Assessment Matrix. The UW Programmable Assessment Matrix is designed for curriculum mapping and assessment tracking. 

This matrix was developed and successfully deployed during the National Accreditation visit for the Construction Management program and has proven successful with features that can be customized for use by other departments and academic programs.

We acknowledge and celebrate the UW Assessment Matrix pilot programs for their work and dedication to assessment for student learning: Honors College, ASL Certificate Program (College of Health Sciences), Gender and Women's Studies (College of Arts & Sciences), and the Master of Science in Learning, Design and Technology (College of Education). 

"The University of Wyoming (UW) Assessment Matrix: Using Technologies to Advance Assessment for Student Learning" - UW Assessment Matrix presentation included in the 2023 Assessment Institute (Conference Program | page 38) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Spring 2024 UW Assessment Academy | March 21, 2024

ECTL, the Office of Academic Affairs and UW Assessment Coordinators hosted the Spring 2024 UW Assessment Academy on March 21st. 

The Assessment Academy highlighted excellent assessment for student learning work in the College of Arts & Sciences and provided an opportunity to share resources, learn from one another and celebrate commendable assessment work.

Fall 2023 UW Assessment Academy | December 7, 2023

The Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning (ECTL) hosted over 25 (32 registrants with 28 in attendance) colleagues at the UW Assessment Academy on December 7, 2023. Colleagues from across campus came together to engage in dialogues around best practices in program curriculum mapping, utilizing WyoCourses for course-level assessment and the culture of assessment. We were honored to highlight work from our colleagues in the College of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Petroleum Engineering.

It was our pleasure to host the UW Assessment Academy on March 3, 2022. Over 35 colleagues participated in the Assessment Academy and attended a variety of sessions throughout the day related to the great work of assessment for student learning happening at UW.
