Preconference Session Co-Presenters:

Rose Harriet Rose Harriet, MS, NCC, LPC, RPT-S™, STR-CT, ACS is the co-founder of the Counseling and Play Therapy Center in Buffalo, Wyoming, where she pursues her passion for helping young children through her work as an Experiential Play Therapist. After reshaping her career from teaching students from seventh grade to college, she obtained her Registered Play Therapist certification and opened her private practice in 2005, driven by a desire to provide deeper therapy for children. With a natural inclination toward teaching, Rose pursued supervisory capacities, allowing her to teach and train other therapists in the language of children. Her expertise extends to Jungian Sandplay, a therapeutic approach that utilizes a sandbox and miniature figures to facilitate the psyche's natural capacity for healing. Rose followed an extensive training path in Sandplay and now teaches and provides consultation to Sandplay practitioners across the United States and internationally, sharing her knowledge and passion for this powerful modality.
Jamie Straessler Jamie Straessler, MEd., NCC, LPC, RPT-S™, STR-C is the co-founder of Counseling and Play Therapy Center, LLC in Buffalo, WY. After beginning as an elementary school counselor, her desire to reach children at a deeper therapeutic level led her to private practice, intensive training, and rigorous certification to become a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy and a Certified Sandplay Consultant through the Association for Sandplay Therapy. While her passion lies in working with young children through Experiential Play Therapy and Sandplay Therapy, Straessler also sees older children, adolescents, and occasional adults, building strong therapeutic relationships founded on her belief that each individual has an innate ability to heal with a counselor's guidance. In addition to her practice, she helps train new therapists through the Play Therapy Training Institute.
